Vegas Here We Come!
It is Wednesday...woohoo...hopefully you are having an awesome day!
So, today's post is going to be super short and sweet because Cocroft & Delbridge is in MAJOR packing mode right now! In a few short days...we will be heading to Vegas for the Wedding MBA Conference! Yay...we are so very excited and can't wait to meet many of you!
While we are soaking up knowledge, working on improving ourselves, and doing some mingling...we will be sure to sneak away for a few seconds to keep you all up to date! Don't worry, we would never dream of leaving you for an entire week, that would just be rude.
Be on the lookout all next week for some baller Instagram photos sent straight from Vegas!
Until next time...xo.

Bohemian Beauty
Happy Monday afternoon my dear readers...hopefully you are having a marvelous start to your week and loving the gorgeous weather that we are currently being spoiled with!
I am so excited for today's post that I can barely handle it...so you should get pumped too! Are you ready?! Lets go!
Now, I am often asked how to create a wedding theme that is indicative of the bride/couple's personal style and my answer is always to create a pair of inspiration boards (I am a super visual person). Well, how the heck do you do this?!
It is very simple really...your first board should feature items that reflect your everyday style and the second will be composed of inspiration for your wedding day. The next step is to focus on elements from your Wedding Board while planning for your nuptials. The end result will be a baller wedding that is everything you have ever wanted...hooray!
Over the next few weeks I will be posting pairs of boards for a bunch of different personal styles...is there one in particular that you want to see? Just let me know!
Until next time...enjoy the coolness of bohemian beauty...xo.

Do you have any big plans over the next few days?! Are you going on a hay ride, picking apples, selecting pumpkins for your doorstep?! Let us know...we just can't get enough of you and your chic lives!
Now, as promised here is a second inspiration board derived from the lusciousness of brown.
Until next time, xo.

Brown Should Not Make You Frown
Happy Thursday darlings!
Great news...it is finally scarf weather and I can barely handle it...so exciting! Anyway, today's post is chock-full of some bridal inspiration for you and it features one of my favorite colors...brown.
Now I know what you are thinking...who the heck loves brown?! Well, this lady right here does!
This hue is the most perfect neutral base color, especially for the fall season, and can transform a wedding from drab to fab in an instant without limiting your color palette. The combinations are endless ...chocolate and gold, mocha and eggplant, espresso and dusty rose, hazelnut and turquoise, almond and sangria! Ugh, I can barely take the wonderfulness.
Now, for the pleasure of your eyeballs and your creative genius here is a lovely board (be on the lookout for another tomorrow afternoon!) we have composed inspired by the one and only brown!
Until next time, xo...

The Sniffles.
Well ladies and gents...on this rainy afternoon...I have to admit that I am feeling quite under the weather.
So coming up with a witty and clever blog seems sort of like running sprints up Mount Everest...or even running sprints at all. Therefore...I will leave you with a picture of how I am currently feeling and pinky swear to write a super fantastic post soon!
Until next time, xo...maybe I should take that 'xo' back since it would spread germs...hmm.

Blooming in a Non-Traditional Kind of Way
Happy Wednesday doll face!
Hopefully you are feeling as wonderful as I am today...the sun is shining, I am wearing a 3/4 sleeve blouse without sweating like a pig, and Starbucks is playing some pretty legit music right now...what a trifecta of awesomeness!
Today I want to blow your mind with a totally amazing bridal trend that I just know you will adore as much as I do and it involves blooms at your nuptials. Now when I was planning my wedding last year, I was disgusted by how much money was spent on flowers...it was crazy...we could have bought 85 trillion frappuccinos at Starbucks with that kind of cash. Begrudgingly and caffeine-less we moved forward with the process and there were flowers all over the stinkin' place on our big day...and you know what?! Those dang things died pretty much the next day...I wanted them to survive until we at least celebrated our 100th anniversary!
Naturally, now that I am married, I am noticing brides taking a phenomenal new approach...faux florals! Now, I can pretty much guarantee that you are envisioning some terrible images but don't, these ladies are truly onto something.
Not only are they aesthetically pleasing, but they will last a lifetime and baby, you had me at forever.
Take a look at some of my favorites! I just adore the fabric flower bouquets (I am biased since Cocroft & Delbridge makes some pretty astoundingly beautiful ones) and the brooch bouquets...so glamourous!
If this trend had debuted sooner I would be looking at a fabulous reminder of my day as opposed to a sad, shriveled relic! Oh, man.
Until next time, I will be tending to my crispy petals...xo

Did You Know?! Part Two
Hi loves. Good news, we have made it to another week and it is a gorgeous day outside...like throw on a cardigan gorgeous! Fall, here we come!
As promised last week...here is Part Two of Did You Know?!
Enjoy! As always, share your sweet thoughts and opinions with us...we can't wait to hear from you.
-Next time you are asked to wear a heinously ugly bridesmaids dress, consider yourself a lifesaver. Back in the day (like way back in the day) the bridal party would dress just like the bride and groom so that any evil spirits who might want to attack would be confused as to who the happy couple was. So by rocking that taffeta monstrosity, you are saving one of your BFFs from evil!
-During the Middle Ages, having an obnoxiously long train meant that you were close to the King and Queen. Pretty cool? Absolutely.
-You certainly wouldn't want your wedding celebration to be crashed by trolls...which is why brides and bridesmaids in some areas of Sweden carry bouquets of stinky weeds! Apparently trolls dislike stink...which just seems odd because I envision them smelling.
-Want to save some major cash on your wedding day? Blame tradition! According to English superstition, Wednesday is the luckiest day to tie the knot.
-Alright, this is just totally nuts...each year in the United States, seventeen tons of gold are made into wedding bands. That is a whole lot of gold.
-Umm...we need to take a page out of Egypt's book. Traditionally, family members would be in charge of cooking for the couple up to one week after their nuptials so the newlyweds could take full advantage of relaxation!
-Apparently Queen Victoria's wedding cake weighed a whopping 300 pounds...that is my kind of party.
-Feel like eloping in Vegas? Avoid Valentine's Day and New Year's Eve if you don't want to wait in long lines...apparently Cupid and Baby New Year inspire romance!
I hope that one day you will be able to drop some of these amazing bits of history into a conversation and impress everyone by showing how stinkin' smart you are! No need to thank me, you are welcome.
Until next time, xo.
