Going To The Chapel & A Whole Lot of Lovin'

Well my dear readers…we are officially 25 days out from the wedding…I. Can’t. Believe. It.  I am truly so excited and have definitely caught myself daydreaming a good 90% of my day about walking down the aisle…which is one of the reasons why I have been such a humungous slacker when it coming to blogging lately.  Well that and I have been working on tons of last minute nuptial details; ugh…it just never seems to end!  Rather than keep you all on the edge of your seats until the wedding, wondering if you will be treating your eyeballs to another post, I will end your sheer anticipation by saying that I will be taking a sabbatical until after my honeymoon.
I know, I know…this is devastating…so I will attempt to make this one heck of an epic post to tide you over.  Hopefully this compilation of my favorite ‘all things wedding’ taken from past posts will warm your heart and dry your tears.  Until next time loves…I am off to the chapel…xo

Ugh, I mean...I am biased...but I just adore non-traditional engagement rings...how stunning is this rock?!

I just adore the divine, soft details of this Claire Pettibone wedding gown...it would just be so perfect for a spring garden wedding!

This wedding makes me want to shed tears of joy...I love the sparkling lights.   It must have been so magical to say "I do" here.

Why are kids so stinkin' cute...this picture is just too much.

I just picture these little girls screaming...'Yay...I bet there is cake soon!".   Let me tell you...I scream the exact same thing at weddings.

Hahahaha. This picture just speaks for itself.

Bridesmaids the Movie

Have you seen this movie (it is Bridesmaids)? If not...stop reading this post immediately...grab your car keys...and drive swiftly to your local RedBox...you might want to also purchase Depends.  Just a warning.

I like to think that this photo actually oozes love...I hope that this is a real couple and not a staged shoot...even if it is...I bet they fell in love taking these shots.

Once again...this picture speaks for itself.  Kids at weddings are just so funny.

The clean lines of this dress are to die for...I am in passionate love with the sheer sleeves.

One of my favorite wedding details is using non-traditional centerpieces.  The way that cotton is used here is just so utterly fantastic.

To wrap up this love fest...we will end with a good ole' Papa shot...how sweet.
P.S.- I would have included more photos...but the blog cut me off...what can I say...posting pictures is sort of like a gateway drug.

Selfishness & Boutonnieres

Happy torrentially rainy Wednesday readers!  If you happen to be living on the upper East Coast of the United States…I certainly hope that you are able to stay dry today…it is quite the crazy storm out there!  Now…I have been thinking a lot about this blog lately…and I realized that I haven’t been giving any sort of attention to my male readers.  How awful of me…so this one is dedicated to you…that is if you forgive me for being distracted by sparkly, girly items.  Ugh, I have just been so incredibly rude.
If you happen to be anything like my fiancĂ© and I, you can understand how we had a super hard time selecting a non-feminine boutonniere for the men in the bridal party.  Everything we came across either seemed too poufy or too smelly…and my fiancĂ© tends to vomit from all things stinky.  After tons of research, we finally found blooms that we were both happy with.  Honestly…I am pretty stinkin’ sure that we aren’t the only couple that wrestled with this decision…so I decided to go on a hunt for some great autumn boutonnieres that hopefully will aide in your search for the perfect accent.  Let me know if you like my picks!  Until next time…xo

Pumpkin Candy Corns, Rain Puddles, & Cardigans

Happy Tuesday!  I certainly hope that you all had a wonderfully relaxing Labor Day weekend…maybe went on a luxurious trip…spent some time on the couch with old episodes of Millionaire Matchmaker.  Ugh…how great!  This past weekend, I had the chance to get a bunch of last minute wedding tasks done with my man (he was such a good sport).  After running errands, we ended up at the grocery store…while walking through the aisles…we saw the most miraculous vision.  Ladies and gentleman, it is finally pumpkin candy corn season!  Wahoo!  For some reason, I think that they taste way better than any normal sort of candy corn…what are your thoughts?
Anyway…with such a definite reminder of the upcoming autumn season…it is time to finally face the changing weather.  When I think about the beginning of fall, two things come to mind.  Drizzle and cool temperatures.  With less than idyllic weather, brides have to become super creative to construct the wedding of their dreams.  With such inventive ideas…it is super hard to ignore how awesome fall season nuptials turn out.  Some of my very favorite autumn fixes are rain boots to keep bridal tootsies perfectly dry and chic cardigans to combat against the chill.
Take a look at these totally awesome photos from fashion-forward brides and feel free to be inspired.  Until next time…xo

Joy & Rehearsal Dinner Cheese

Hello!  So guess what?!  We here at Cocroft & Delbridge are super excited because…my WEDDING GOWN has arrived!  Oh. My. Gosh.  I can’t even begin to tell you how thrilled I am about this. Wahoo!
In other news…I have tons and tons of wedding plans to work on this weekend with my man.  Soo…I am going to post some cheese for you today!  With the wedding only five weeks around the corner, I have been thinking a whole lot about what to wear to my rehearsal dinner…I actually just bought a dress but it was only after a ton of thought!  Do you think that brides should wear white or ivory for all wedding occasions…or should they switch it up with some punches of color?  Here are some of my very favorite options for rehearsal dinner looks…I hope that you enjoy them as much as I do!  Until next week…xo

Hi, hi!  This wonderful Wednesday…aka halfway through the week…I seem to have quite the writer’s block.  I am talking about the kind of stuck where my brain seems to be farting dust.  In an attempt to make this up to you…I have decided to overwhelm your eyeballs with photographs of chic, affordable fall fashion!  Yay for budget friendly!  Enjoy my loves…hopefully my mind will turn back on for tomorrow.  Until next time…xo
